Time is Money--but Money is Time

Written by kRemtronicz on August 29, 2008

"Time is money," some say. This, the way I see it, should be complemented with "...and money is time." And this time is valuable; it is a precious asset and we can never get it back once it has been "used."

If we don't do what we are supposed to do with our time, then money does not flow towards us--it simply flows against us. Right? Same thing happens with money. If we don't do what we are supposed to do with our money (not paying our bills on time to avoid late fees, not investing our money in other things that could multiply it, etc.) then time, usually, will flow against us as well. Why? Simply because we would wish time to do those things we enjoy the most, but since we didn't care about the money we had earned, then, we will need to spend more of that precious time to get more money--as if we pay this money with our treasured time.

I don't know if you really perceived and understood what I meant with the word time, but I don't mean what you think you see on your watch every time you look at it. I call "time" to those moments we wish would have never ended; those moments which we always go to with our minds when we close our eyes in moments of stress or solitude.

So, if you have reached this far I suggest: before wasting your time once again, don't think about how much time you would need to make money you desire; work intelligently, and use that money to, whichever smarter way you choose, give yourself that precious time only some strive for.
