The Sky is NOT the Limit

How many times have we heard the phrase "the sky is the limit"? To many, this means that one can achieve as much as he/she desires; that there's a lot to do in this life to just waste our time; that we should not limit ourselves and, instead, should follow our dreams. But to me--and perhaps you as well, this IS a limiting statement. The sky is way above us, but does this mean that after we "reach" the sky there's nothing else beyond it?
I always hear individuals bragging about their professions, how smart they are, or how much money they make. This might seem, to them, to be the ultimate step in life; that they have, indeed, "reached the sky." But to me, these are individuals have limited themselves and cannot see beyond their materialistic and egotistic world. However this doesn't apply to everybody. Many of us are successful in many aspects but still we open our eyes to learn and to soak more from life in a endless cycle.
I would like to rephrase the statement as "the universe is the limit." The universe is in constant growth, and so are those who know the real truth. The more we seem to know, the more we must to learn.
What do you think?
