Skype Calling Plans

Written by kRemtronicz on April 09, 2009

Skype LogoSometime ago I wrote a simple, 3-paragraph post about the wonders of Skype. At the time I was already thrilled with what I could do with the software and the benefits for my business. I could call my clients, hear everything in stereo-like with my headset, and also I was paying very low fees to call. Those were good times, and I enjoyed every second! Months later, I found out that the Skype team had come up with something even more amazing: unlimited calling plans.

This might not sound too appealing, but if I tell you that the basic plan costs $2.95 per month UNLIMITED U.S. AND CANADA, then I'm sure that makes you think it twice. Twice or triple since you can go for a cell phone, the regular phone company, the magic jack (big scam), or services like Vonage.

Since I'm not here to talk crap about these last 4, I will only tell you that right on my 2nd month of using the unlimited plan (did I say the plans start at only $2.95?), I couldn't be happier. I know, I know, "you get what you pay for;" and you sure do! $2.95 unlimited (other unlimited plans available), crystal clear, stereo-like calls (better if you use your headset), and no cellphone radiation. The only disadvantage is that you gotta have your computer on, and connected to the Internet (like 105% of us don't do that already)

My recommendation? Switch to Skype RIGHT NOW and begin saving and calling. Forget about wasting your money, and begin enjoying the liberty of calling as your are supposed to. Just keep your cell phone in case you need to call 911. For the rest, "Skypify" your calling habit! And don't forget to say "bye, bye AT&T or COX.
