Some time ago while searching for an online tool that would be as good and reliable as LogMeIn (but not as hard to set up and possibly free) so I could help my mom remotely to fix her computer, I discovered what I believe to be one of the "must have" tools available today for almost anybody who uses computers nowadays (not to mention everyone). This "magical" tool would not only help me fix my mom's computer remotely, it was also a piece of cake to install for my 57 year old, lovely mother. I was impressed and the "fix" went well, we practically had no time wasted (unlike when we got LogMeIn to work for her over the phone), and it made me realize I had a great tool I could continue using to help her in whatever she needed. This tool is no other than Mikogo: THE online meeting, web conference, and remote support tool...
A few months after that I got another reason to use Mikogo and in a business related situation. A client of mine needed to explain what he wanted to accomplish with his website not only to me but also to another business partner of his. The problem? We needed to be on the phone at the same time AND also be able to see on our computers what he had in mind for his website. I immediately suggested a"Mikogo" conference. Skeptical enough by the software name, the guys accepted, and in the morning of a couple of days after they could no believe how "cool" the setup, quality, and ease of use of the program was. Both of them knew, just as there's a big chance that you too, LogMeIn, but just by using Mikogo for the first time they relized the switch was imminent!Another case in which we used Mikogo was when a client using a MAC needed some assistance uploading files to his website yet he did not know how to setup a FTP client. Solution? We did not think it twice to jump online, have our client download the software, and helped him getting those files in his web folder in no time. If you have not reliazed, Mikogo indeed works for Windows and MAC-based computers AND to top it off they work together seamlessly!
Mikogo is indeed a great MUST HAVE tool. It is so simple to use that all you need to do is go to their website (http://mikogo.com), download the software, and right after that the installation takes about 30 seconds and you are ready to begin you online conference! There's no need to open an account unless you want to host video conferences, leaving your clients without the cluelessness that other software do (I love that simplicity). Double-click, join meeting, voila! Wouldn't you be happy to be able to do the same for your clients, look good (and savvy), and at the same time save lots of traveling time? All we know is that we do here at kRemtronicz!
The software has even more cards under their sleeve: With Mikogo you can switch what they call the "presenter" in order to see the other party's screen and you call also ask to remotely control their computer. Those who are in the meeting can also use their cursor (which is personalized with a unique color) ro point at stuff on the presenter's screen to make it even more interactive (tears flowing incesantly right now). And to top it all off, the sessions are ultra secured featuring a 256 SSL which you don't see very often--yet--on websites all over the Internet.
All we can say is that there are those who are repeating themselves over and over, and those who are constantly searching to innovate and make history online. We believe Mikogo is definitely as necessary as a computer keyboard in today's Internet and all-about-computers world.
